A Diesel Particulate Filter is a device fitted to most modern diesel engine cars and vans that is deisgned to remove diesel particulate matter, or

soot, from the exhaust gas emitted by the vehicle. Some DPFs are designed to be used only once, needing replacement when they are full.

Other Diesel Particulate Filters are designed to burn off the gathered particulates with the use of a catalyst or byrunning an in-built engine

program, when required, that injects extra fuel into the combustion process thus causing the exhaust temperature to increase and reach a level

that incinerates the trapped soot in the filter

If the DPF is beginning to block, and not performing to its required level, the performance of the vehicle begins to suffer. As exhaust pressure

builds the engine will attempt to work harder, fighting against the restricted flow, resulting in lower fuel efficiency, loss of engine power and

eventually complete engine failure. A block will be indicated on the dashboard of your vehicle by a warning light, and perhaps even an "Air

Pollution System" warning in some vehicles.  In order to avoid a potentially hefty replacement cost of up to £1000.

What are the benefits of Diesel Particulate Filter cleaning

Pro-Line cleaner for diesel particle filters is a highly effective agent for the cleaning of installed diesel particle filters on motor vehicles.Contamination in the diesel particle filter is dissolved quickly, making the previously required, cost-intensive replacement obsolete.
